Named after the great American Naval Designer, Nathanael Greene Herreshoff, these cleats are made from mirror polished 316 grade stainless steel. The twin legs allow spliced loops to be passed through then secured to the horns ensuring a secure belay. The splayed base allows for four fixings providing a strong attachment.
Arthur Beale says:
Try to secure these cleats with countersunk machine screws right through the substrate to a reinforcing pad on the rear. If used as mooring cleats they can be subjected to high loads.
